SLONGS

Behind the name "Slongs" is Antwerp rapper Charissa Parassiadis. Slongs has Greek blood, but is Antwerp through and through. In just two years, she rose from underground hip-hop queen to a public figure who wears her heart on her sleeve. With "Lacht Nor mij" (Laughs Nor Me), she delivered the Dutch-language summer hit in 2013, followed by an MIA Award for "Best Breakthrough." In 2015, she released her debut album, "Goeien Dag" (Good Day), on Sony Music, which immediately went gold. Since then, she has become a fixture in the Flemish media landscape and is known for rocking festivals and venues.

On March 1, 2019, Slongs released her long-awaited second album, #GOEGAAN, on which she reveals her vulnerable side. She lovingly parted ways with the Dievanongs persona, along with the rugged bling from her early days. Slongs collaborated with artists like Raymond van het Groenewoud, Will Tura, and Jack Parow, and returned with a new sound. She surrounded herself with several top musicians to perform her well-known hits and new songs in an exhilarating live show. Think hip hop, reggae, and dancehall. Slongs also served on the jury of the American talent show The World's Best on CBS.
