BEAR

One of Belgium's most legendary contemporary hardcore bands, BEAR , built its notorious reputation on a relentless live show. Their sound is an alchemical fusion of metallic hardcore chaos and melodies packed with razor-sharp hooks.

Destruction is ingrained in their live ethos. They literally blow squats and 1,000-capacity concert halls off the map. On stage, they even destroy their instruments. Night after night, they're smashed to pieces. The result is a physical, raw performance that you have to see for yourself.

After 15 years, the progressive hardcore band from Antwerp hasn't lost any of its intensity. Quite the opposite. Their latest effort, Anhedonia , showcases a band at the peak of its powers.

The album was recorded live at Motormusic Studios in Mechelen, Belgium. Production, mixing, and mastering were handled by Chiaran Verheyden, known for his work with Psychonaut and Hippotraktor. The five tracks form a relentless and triumphant distillation of everything BEAR stands for.

Anhedonia will be released on all physical formats on May 22nd. It will be released on all streaming platforms via Pelagic Records on September 18th.

The new single “Empty Markers” marks the start of this cycle.

BEAR is now available for club shows and festivals in Belgium and Europe.
