It has been 50 years since the groundbreaking RAMONES were founded.
That's why a number of indebted musicians are paying tribute. Expect all the classics in 1,2,3,4!
Singer Marco Roelofs previously paid a well-deserved tribute to the iconic New York City quartet with his own band, Heideroosjes . This time, he's joining forces with several veterans of the Dutch rock scene. Drummer Bart Nederhand toured the world with Peter Pan Speedrock and hits harder than Marky Ramone in his prime. Harold Gielen hammers the bass guitar in thrash metal pioneers Legion Of The Damned , but he started out as a teenage punk. String picker Oeds Beydals also began his musical journey with four-chord punk (Gewapend Beton) but is now widely respected as a versatile guitarist in Iron Jinn (and previously with The Devil's Blood and Death Alley ).
Just like the Ramones, four completely different characters bonded by their love of pure rock 'n' roll. We're a happy family, gabba gabba, hey!
