JET VAN DER STEEN

Bring it on. That's the motto of singer Jet van der Steen, a mentality that has defined her from a young age. Raised in a large family, she found refuge in music, where her bedroom quickly transformed into a creative breeding ground. What began as a personal outlet grew into something bigger: with her covers and reinterpretations, Jet managed to build a loyal online fan base. Shortly after, with the help of Simon de Wit (Blanks), she released her first EP, and from that moment on, she no longer just sang in her room, but also on stage.

Jet isn't a "slick pop star." She comes across as someone you could call your girl next door, but one with a razor-sharp pen, a big heart, and a middle finger in her back pocket for anyone who underestimates her. She exudes something rebellious, authentic, and empathetic all at once.

Her sound has evolved significantly in recent years, as can be heard on her second EP, "Alles Komt, Alles Gaat," where she blended electronica with her distinctive pop sound. The single "Dans Op Het Mes" (Dance on the Knife) has already been streamed almost three million times and expanded her reach in the Benelux, Germany, and South Africa. Following the release of "Ik Bouw Een Huis," which she wrote specifically for the new KWF campaign, a nearly sold-out club tour through the Netherlands and Belgium followed in the spring of 2025.

In the fall of 2025, her new EP, "Niemand Gaat Het Voor Je Doen," was released: a challenging, electronic album featuring both energetic tracks like "Praat Te Veel" and the dreamy "June." Just like with her previous release, she celebrated this with a sold-out show at the Melkweg.

In January 2026, Jet van der Steen and her live band performed at ESNS for the first time, where she was also named 3FM Talent in a subsequent interview on 3FM.
