Heather roses grow on barren ground and survive every season. That applies literally and figuratively, because the punk rockers are going on tour again in 2027. “A ritual cleansing, full of energy, amidst like-minded people,” is how singer Marco Roelofs describes their upcoming concerts. Anyone who has ever seen the quartet live can attest to this. The collective has been plowing through the music scene since 1989. Ignoring trends, with three chords and a fistful of ideals.

What has that brought her?

Eleven albums, countless appearances at Pinkpop, Lowlands, Werchter, Pukkelpop, and all those other festivals. An Edison Award, nearly 2,000 concerts during tours through Europe, the US, Japan, and South Africa with musical kindred spirits like The Misfits, The Offspring, Bad Religion, and Pennywise. Collaborations with their childhood heroes, including Lemmy from Motörhead, but also the legendary Flemish comedian Urbanus.
Meanwhile, their third album 'Fifi' spent more than half a year in the album charts, and—sometime in the late nineties—they landed a record contract with the biggest American punk label, EPITAPH. Oh yes, the majority of the Heideroosjes' songs are in English.
